Good Day! J My fiancé rina and I will be attending our good friend’s wedding, so we will be taking a break roving around to find wedding inspirations. Billy Victoria, our good friend is the one who introduced Kasalang Tagaytay to us and now he’s getting married to Erika Bernardo.
After almost a year of living apart, Billy and Erika moved to Billy’s house in tagaytay.
When Erika was 5 months pregnant with their first baby, they hosted a little party at Erika’s house without knowing that later on that would be turned into a party that was so memorable. Billy proposed to Erika and she said yes, so their baby shower soon turned into an engagement party.
As a wedding planner, Erika had gathered ideas and inspirations from many of the wedding she had seen and arranged over the years. Keen to have a garden wedding, Billy and Erika decided on all the details of their wedding together to create a day that suited them as couple. They chose Hacienda Isabella for their wedding venue and reception, Billy told me that Hacienda Isabella was perfect for a garden wedding and it was his personal choice.
The wooden beams and trusses of white-walled structures are exposed, part of the charm of this place. The simple architecture is revealed in the predominantly straight lines of the structures. The curves are found in the wooden carvings used as highlights of the place. The wide open lawn is perfect for events like weddings and receptions. And it is bordered by fruit-bearing trees and various plants. I think Billy just picked the perfect place for their wedding.
They imitated the silver birch tree forest from a botanic garden in New South Wales and the tree trunks became the base of their wedding décor. A silver birch arch was created as a ceremony arbour and small logs ran down the centre of the reception tables. Navy blue, white and green were the dominant colors of the table settings and a bold, botanic print fabric was chosen for alternating tables.
Erika’s bouquet replicated the waterfall style of Princess Mary’s wedding bouquet with cascading roses surrounded by native Australian foliage. Erika’s bridesmaids carried white roses with magnolia foliage and unusually the stems were gathered in hessian bags and it was all made by Loi Floral Sense. As for the groom’s men, we’re just simply wearing navy blue coat.
Billy and Erika had a wedding cake that was in keeping with the rural setting. They had 100 mini vanilla slices made by sweet solutions.
